WIFO’s excellence reseach is not only undisputed nationally, but also transcends Austria’s borders. The year 2021 was once again affected by the upheavals of the COVID-19 pandemic. Among other things, this provided the Austrian Institute of Economic Research with the stage to demonstrate its key role in shaping rational and evidence-based economic policy.
